Grumman HU-16B ASW, Revell 1/72 WIP Part 2

The building is moving on slowly. A lot of scratchbuilding is needed to improve Revells kit.

Next step is to build the wings landing gear wells. A lot of plastic sheet measuring and testing following pictures of the real thing. The fuselage wells are improved by adding plastic parts and some wiring. The main landing gear struts were rebuild from scratch since the kit parts have nothing to do with the real thing. The front landing gear strut is also rebuilded from scratch.

Next step was to rebuild the flaps. Kit parts were cuted carefully with a PE saw and improved with plastic sheet.
