Hello, my name is Dimitris Savidis, i live in Thessaloniki, Greece. I’m a modeller since the beggining of the ’80s. I created this blog to share my scale model builds and experience with everyone who likes scale modelling.
This is the UH-1N kit from Italeri in 1/48 scale converted to an AB-212 ASW of the Hellenic Navy.
The Hasegawa kit of A-7E converted to TA-7H with the Maintrack convertion set.
For the first time i preshaded a model of mine. Nice technique with good results but probably i will not use it again.
This is the vacumformed kit of Maintrack, Golden Wings series in 1/48 scale. It is a multimedia kit that contains plastic parts, resin seats and metal landing gear and exhausts.
The building is moving on slowly. A lot of scratchbuilding is needed to improve Revells kit.
At last, ready to start the paint job for the camouflage.
Before start painting the camouflage some other things must be done. At the beggining i had to rework the vertical stabilator to match the Aegean Hawks.
As usual all the interior basic colours are Tamiya acrylics. All details are painted with Humbrol enamels. Paint fading and weathering was made using oils.
An extensive modification to Italeri’s SH-60B Seahawk in 1/48 scale using the COBRA COMPANY SH-60F resin conversion set and EDUARD interior and exterior PE sets.
